Speaker is Keith Forsyth, a FDPA expert for the Philadelphia area, on “Ending Gerrymandering in Pennsylvania

Fair Districts for Pennsylvania is a statewide advocacy organization:  non-profit committed to reducing gerrymandering and other unconstitutional/unethical redistricting of Congressional, Assembly, and State Senate districts.  During 2017/8, FDPA worked with a pair of State Senators on bills to create a non-partisan redistricting commission, which would utilize the post-2020 Census data to develop the three sets of districts.  [In PA, the State Supreme Court intervened in 2017/8 to create interim Congressional districts — praised by most liberals.  These may be under attack in 2020 by ultra-conservative Republican leaders!]
Keith Forsyth has been active in Fair Districts PA since late in 2016.  He served as Philadelphia County Coordinator from December 2016 through November 2017, and Chair of the State Coordinating Team from June 2017 until September 2018.  Currently Keith is working with FDPA’s local groups around the state to help them become more effective.

Keith’s involvement in politics began when he joined the movement against the Vietnam War in 1968 in a small town in Ohio, and continued with peace, community, and labor organizing in Philadelphia throughout the 1970’s.  After a long hiatus from politics, he returned to the fray in 2014, working against intrusive government surveillance, then joining Fair Districts PA in 2016.
